As many of us can relate, dealing with the issues surrounding the proposed Firenze Plaza have been difficult. It's tough to know where to turn for information, what information to trust, etc.
Last night, representatives of The Land Group and Albertson's left saying they had taken a lot of notes regarding the residents' concerns and they would discuss those among themselves.
What an interesting evening last night was! We found out that the developer is actually Albertson's and they have no intention of doing any development work on the two parcels identified as residential.
The Land Group will be meeting with Tuscany residents this Monday evening at 6:00pm at the Siena School cafeteria. Our understanding is that Ms. Tamara Thompson will be presenting information concerning the development to us and will answer questions.
As part of delivering the letters to City of Meridian and ACHD staff and officials (see earlier post), we also asked about the rules for appearing before the Commissioners at the Public Hearings.
An addendum to the traffic study that addresses the volume of traffic projected within Tuscany has been issued. You can view the document here.
The letters to Mayor Tammy de Weerd of the City of Meridian and to Mr. Bob Miller of Albertson's were hand delivered yesterday.
The following email was sent today to Ms. Tamara Thompson of The Land Group concerning the proposed meeting with the Tuscany residents. This should be on December 5th or 6th and as soon as we have confirmation of availability of the Sienna school, we will add it to the website via a new post and calendar entry.

Hopefully this website and blog will help to improve communication among the residents of Tuscany concerning the proposed Firenze Plaza and the efforts being made by many of us to modify that proposal. Categories
